With the battle for the capital world of Merovingian ending in a bloody stalemate, the siege moves to the planet Jaglan Prime. The deadly jungle world is dense and lethal and for the next 2 weeks, the missions will reflect this. Be sure to check out how Maelstrom Missions work in the 7th edition rule book!

The Week 5 dataslate kicks games up to 1750 points, 4x6 table sizes and extends the ally restrictions to include Desperate Allies. Also, heroes get to move around in style with this week's Hero upgrades!

Week 2 Rules Update!

Let's face it, you may know thy enemy, but it can be a whole lot harder to actually meet him on the battlefield!

Since there has been some difficulty this week with the two opposing sides meeting up to get their games in, I'll only be counting 1 "Know Thy Enemy" game per player. This will make it much easier for players to get their games in with a wider group of people. Your games will still contribute points to your alliance without the pressure of hunting down the other team for the bonus points.

I'll also be attaching a contact list with all league players in the Week 3 Datasheet so you can better plan your games that do not fall on Wed night. If you do not wish to have your contact info added to this list, please let me know.

Attention Warhammer 40k players, want another cool way to earn sweet prizes? Take some pics of your games!

Players in the "Siege of Worlds" event can submit up to 5 pictures from their games throughout the league. Please include a cool or funny caption with each pic.

Players will receive up to 5 additional raffle tickets (1 per picture) for their submissions and all league players will vote on their favorite picture at the league's conclusion. The player who took the winning pic will receive some awesome prize support!

Siege of Worlds: Final Update

Attention Warhammer 40k League players- This is the final update!

Today is the last day to register for the "Siege of Worlds" league starting tomorrow, April 19th! While players can join at any point during the league, they will need to be registered before they can join a side and begin submitting their games.

ALL players need to make sure that they have registered by sending their name, contact information and final army selection to wh40kleague@gmail.com. If you decided to change your initial army choice, please make sure you send that information via email so it can be updated.

League players will be receiving an email tonight that has their Week 1 dataslate! The email will include important information including Week 1 Scenarios, prize support rules, contact information for all players and what side of the conflict you'll be fighting on! It's time to learn who your allies are and who will be your sworn enemies!

Be sure to add the "Siege of Worlds" website to your favorites as it will be updated constantly throughout the course of the league with new rules, updates, narrative chapters and a few surprises!

Siege of Worlds: League Schedule

The "Siege of Worlds" League starts this Sunday, April 19th, at Cape Fear Games! The event kicks off at 2pm and runs all day long!

Every Wednesday night, from 6p-10p, will be official League nights! Cape Fear Games will be opening play space in the back of the store for players participating in the league! While players are free to get their games in at any point during the week, players who show up during League night will gain participation points that will put them in the drawing for some awesome prize support!

Players who make every league night during the 8 week long event will also receive a discount on GW products! The more you play, the better your chances will be to walk away with some great prizes!

Prize Support!

Ork Freebooters aren't the only ones who like free stuff!

Siege of Worlds: Introduction

Greetings Commanders. War is upon us and you are called to bring down the fury of your armies in the Siege of Worlds Campaign!

Siege of Worlds is an 8 week Narrative League beginning on April 19th and taking place at Cape Fear Games. Throughout the course of the campaign, the fate of a sector will shift between powerful forces and whole planets will be protected, enslaved or even consumed in the wake of war!

Getting Started

- Players need to select a single army from the Warhammer 40k line and will need the most current version of their rules. The game is in its 7th edition and the Narrative League will be using this edition as well.

- Players will need to register for the league by emailing their name, contact information and chosen army to wh40kLeague@gmail.com. Players will then receive a personalized message with their initial orders and their reasons for being drawn to the conflict in the Merovingian Sub-Sector.

Players should hang on to this email as they'll be submitting all game results this way!

Why We Fight?

The Siege of Worlds Campaign is designed to be accessible to both new players and veterans of the game alike. It is intended to create a larger player base in our area and to promote a healthy group who enjoys the game, the hobby and the community. Hopefully, it will act as the herald for new and exciting Warhammer 40k tournaments and events in the future!

As the only reward for the league is the experience, players are encouraged to make the game as enjoyable as they can for everyone and to stray away from lists that are blatantly abusive or utilize "spamming" undercosted units to ensure victory. While I have no intention of acting as the list police, I wanted to at least make a note on this.

Above all else, conduct yourself with integrity and play each game with a friendly attitude and sportsmanship!

Siege of Worlds: Rules Changes and Errata

A group of us are still play testing and looking over the league rules to make sure they run as smoothly as possible when it kicks off in April. While no major changes are planned, small changes make take place in the course of the next few weeks. All changes will be noted and players made aware of any adjustments to the rules. Changes on the official rules document will be made in red text for reference.


1. In the Base Hero statline, in the Wargear section, the Custom Ranged Weapon has been changed from Type: Rapid Fire to Type: Assault 2 to make him/her more flexible in combat and better suited to join both ranged and melee focused units.

2. In the original document, both Lords of War and allies were not allowed until the 1350 point level. This has been changed to allow allies at 1000 points as long as they follow the Battle-Forged guidelines and are Battle Brothers and Allies of Convenience only! Lords of War are still not allowed until 1350 pts tier.
